Currently, H.E. Sayed Ahmad Umerkhil serves as the Acting Ambassador of Afghanistan in Jeddah, overseeing diplomatic and consular affairs within his jurisdiction. In this role, he works closely with Afghan community members, Saudi authorities, and relevant institutions to ensure effective consular services, strengthen bilateral engagement, and uphold the dignity and representation of Afghanistan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Consulate General in Jeddah serves Afghan nationals living across the western regions of the Kingdom. Under Mr. Ashrafiโ€™s leadership, the mission works to protect the rights of Afghan citizens, support their needs, and contribute to productive diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
